Terms and delivery policy
Who you're buying from. Ricky's Trees is the trading name of Ricky Wheeler, a sole trader based in Essex. Contact: the message form on the home page, or reply to your order confirmation email.
What you get. A fresh-cut, premium grade British Nordmann Fir in the size band you chose, netted, delivered to the address you gave at checkout on the delivery day you chose. Prices include delivery. Trees are natural products, so the height is a band rather than an exact figure and shape varies slightly from tree to tree.
Delivery. Deliveries take place between 8am to 6pm on your chosen day. On the morning you will receive a text message with a narrower time window and a tracking link. If you are not in, we will follow any instructions you gave in the delivery notes. If there are no instructions and no safe place, we will contact you to arrange redelivery on the next available delivery day; a second failed delivery may incur a £15 charge.
Delivery area. We only deliver to the postcode districts listed on the website. Orders for addresses outside those districts will be refunded in full.
Cancellations and refunds. You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before your delivery day by replying to your confirmation email. After that point your tree has been purchased and cut for you and we are unable to refund. If a tree arrives damaged or is not of the quality you'd expect, tell us within 24 hours and we will replace it or refund you.
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. If you choose the deposit option, the deposit secures your tree and delivery day and the balance shown at checkout is payable in cash on delivery. Someone must be present to pay; a cash-balance order cannot be left unattended, and if nobody is in we will attempt redelivery on the next delivery day. Deposits are refundable on the same terms as full payments (see Cancellations).
Sizes. 4ft is roughly 3.9 to 4.6ft, 5ft is 4.6 to 5.6ft, 6ft is 5.6 to 6.6ft, 7ft is 6.6 to 7.5ft and 8ft is 7.5 to 8.5ft, measured before the tree is placed in a stand.
